The Sugar House Community Council began the #SugarHouseStrong video campaign after the initial COVID shutdowns in early 2020. They discovered that video content could help member businesses recover foot traffic which had plummeted due to the pandemic. I was brought on as the lead videographer for the series in 2021. I created a new, unified aesthetic for the series and helped the video team to reorganize their production process to improve internal communication.
What began as an unpaid internship did not end there. I’ve developed an ongoing relationship with the Chamber and shot 30 videos for them so far. Some of those videos resulted in a 200% increase in foot traffic for several businesses.
